How to visit Aït Benhaddou
- Day stop on Marrakech ? Sahara circuit: The standard route crosses Tizi n'Tichka, stops 2h at Aït Benhaddou, then continues to Ouarzazate and beyond. MSITravels times this for golden hour.
- Overnight (strongly recommended): Stay in a ksar-facing guesthouse for dawn and dusk light with no crowds. The site transforms completely without day-trippers.
- Day trip from Marrakech: Long day (3h each way) but possible. Depart 7:00am, arrive ~10:00am, explore until 2:00pm, return by 6:00pm. MSITravels recommends combining with an Ouarzazate overnight.
