Every hike is private, guide-led, and woven into your wider Morocco itinerary.
The most accessible Atlas walk — 1.5 hours from Marrakech. A river valley trail through Berber farms, walnut groves, and traditional villages to the Seven Waterfalls. Suitable for families and first-time visitors. No specialist equipment needed.
Imlil (1,740m) is the High Atlas gateway. The Aroumd village circular walk passes through Berber stone houses, apple orchards, and mountain pastures with views of the Toubkal massif. Excellent acclimatisation for anyone considering the summit.
North Africa's highest peak — a 2-day guided ascent from Imlil to the summit at 4,167m. Day 1 to the refuge (3,207m); Day 2 summit push and descent. Licensed mountain guide and mule support included. See /toubkal-trek for full details.
300m limestone walls frame a natural hiking corridor. The gorge walk follows the river through progressively narrower canyon sections — reaching the inner gorge where walls close to 10m apart and light falls in a single strip. One of Morocco's great hikes.
The Dades Valley offers multi-day walking routes through kasbahs, palmeries, and gorge viewpoints. Day walking from Boumalne Dades into the gorge upper section is achievable for fit walkers — and connects to Todra via a backcountry trail.
A guided dawn walk through the Erg Chigaga or Merzouga dune fields. Soft sand, enormous silence, and changing morning light — one of the most memorable walks in Morocco. No technical ability required. Pure sensory experience.
Is Morocco good for hiking?
Morocco is one of the best hiking destinations in the world. The High Atlas has peaks above 4,000m within 90 minutes of Marrakech. The Sahara dune fields offer dawn walking experiences found nowhere else. Todra and Dades gorges provide dramatic canyon hiking. And the Berber village trail network is the most culturally immersive hiking landscape in North Africa — where you walk through living medieval villages, not museum recreations. Every trail type, every fitness level, one country.
