Best: Sept–March, NW swell
Morocco's most famous wave — a long right-hander that can run 200+ metres. The benchmark break for visiting surfers.
Best: Year-round
Mellow and consistent — ideal for those progressing beyond beginner level. Sandy bottom near shore makes it forgiving.
Best: Nov–Feb, big swells
Powerful, fast, and unforgiving — Morocco's heaviest wave. For experienced surfers only on big swell days.
Best: Year-round
Sheltered bay with gentle waves and sandy bottom. The standard beginner surf school location in Taghazout.
Best: Oct–April
Fast, punchy wave next to a natural freshwater spring. A local favourite — less crowded than Anchor Point.
Best: June–Sept
Morocco's windiest beach — world-class windsurfing and kitesurfing. Regular surf too, though trade winds create choppy conditions.
